Tips for students to manage stress during finals w Tips for students to manage stress during finals week ➕Exercise - releases endorphins, relieves stress, and gives you a chance to socialize ➕Eat Well - mindlessly munching might leave you tired. Instead reach for something light and nutritious like a salad or smoothie. This will also improve concentration and memory ➕Stay Hydrated - keeps headaches at bay and improves energy levels ➕Breathe - when you feel like you are tensing up, breathe for four counts, hold it for four counts, and exhale for four counts. ➕Sleep - pulling an all-nighter is not healthy! Sleep helps your brain retain the information you have been studying and gives you energy to stay focused ➕Take Breaks - give your brain a chance to absorb the information you have been studying. Give yourself a chance to decompress and watch a quick episode of Modern Family or The Office. ➕Study Space - find a peaceful environment to help your concentration like the library or quiet coffee shop. ➕Prioritize and Plan - use study guides, ask your teacher for tips, allocate time to focus on the material for each exam ➕Help - whether it’s your parent, teacher, school social worker, or friend.
