Instagram post 2190839827887658470_447843495 Dear Friends, Today is #GivingTuesday, and there are many organizations asking for your support. So, what sets LEAD apart? We are literally saving lives - both directly through immediate interventions, and indirectly through preventative efforts. Your contribution will be put to use to continue our life-saving efforts.
➕During 2019, we have presented in person in front of 22,903 people in over 100 different schools and communities, and have conducted 241 unique presentations, trainings and workshops for parents, students, educators and community leaders. These totals represent a 250% increase from this time last year.
➕We have supplied both the Lake Forest and Lake Bluff Police Departments with Narcan and have also equipped and trained community members as first-responders in the event of an overdose.
➕We worked with city and school officials to help enact local legislation to prevent marijuana businesses from coming to Lake Forest and Lake Bluff, and have helped to lead that same effort statewide.
➕We were invited to provide testimony at 5 Illinois legislative public hearings, both in Chicago and Springfield.
➕We continue to expand Text-A-Tip regionally and nationally. Text-A-Tip is now operational to nearly 10 million people across the country, and literally saves lives every week. We now have our own team of full-time licensed clinicians who respond to texts at all hours of the day, and every day of the year.
➕We work everyday to save lives, and that is the driving force that keeps our whole staff going. But, we can't do that without your continued support.
➕We are excited about the future of LEAD and I ask you to think of us on this #GivingTuesday by making a donation to help us be a strong voice in drug prevention and to help us continue to save lives through our innovative and unique programs and service offerings.
➕Your gift truly can save a life, and we are most grateful for your support!

10.22.19 • 9AM • BG Community Arts Center Illinois will become a retail marijuana state in January 2020. This workshop is for small and large employers, for corporations and nonprofits. It is open to chamber members, school administrators, safety managers, HR representatives and more. Leading national expert Jo McGuire from Colorado will show what belongs in an effective workplace policy, discuss policy enforcement, and have Q&A on each section of policy specific to unique needs of participants. William J. Judge JD, LL.M. will also be on hand to address concerns. He is an Illinois-based attorney and past Co-Chairman of the Illinois State Chamber of Commerce Drug-Free Workplace Program.
