#BTOC
Back in February, some of you may have attended our successful screening of the award-winning documentary, “Behind the Orange Curtain.”  This film is powerful, life-changing, and has impacted the way I communicate with my young children about prescription drugs. We have decided to bring the film, and its Executive Producer Jamison Monore, back for a second screening. Our next screening will take place on May 22nd at 7:00 p.m. at Gorton Community Center.  See more details and registration information below.

Ty Sells
Some of you may know the name Ty Sells.  For the past two years, Ty has facilitated our Youth Summit and has become a very popular name among our local middle school students.  On Thursday, May 9th, at 6:30 p.m. at Lake Bluff Middle School, Ty will be presenting “Creating Connections that Count.”  This is a fun, interactive session geared towards parents and anyone who works with youth.  I encourage you to attend and to find out first-hand why Ty is so popular with our local youth.

Lift Off!
Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 22nd!  LEAD will be hosting the first annual “Summer Lift-Off for LEAD” – a family event at Community Townline Park (on the corner of Route 60 and Waukegan Road).  This fun event will serve as a fundraiser for LEAD, but will also provide an opportunity to celebrate families and the many positive things about our community. We’ll have hot air balloon rides (weather and wind permitting, of course), local bands, great food, games for kids and much, much more.  Tickets will go on sale soon, but for now save the date!  If you or your company would be interested in being a sponsor, please contact me directly.

Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you or your family.
